We have to look at his contributions to contemporary architecture similar to how we view contemporary art - it's supposed to invoke a strong feeling, but not necessarily a familiar one, it's meant to challenge. There are lots of criticisms to sling, I find his work rather gluttonous and I usually prefer Calatrava for that level of grandeur, but he's a generational talent.

Moving back on topic to the hotel. Good to see it approaching exterior completion, the concept for the bar/resto up top looks cool. I still really don't like the patterning on the façade.
