TBH the Gehry towers would work much better in downtown Calgary than at King and John, which used to be a charming mid-rise theatre district and is now becoming dominated by big-box condo lobbies.

No more big lifts for The Dorian anymore, unless they get a mobile crane. They removed the site crane over the weekend.

It's like they went out of their way with the random white and black panels just to make it worse.

The white white panels do look good at night though, they have a soft reflective look that works with the building.

I always assumed the white panels were back lit or something. They are plain old reflective panels with no lighting?

Pretty happy with this one, curious how well it will age though. I prefer clearer glass, but the pattern at least makes this interesting to look at!

Having seen a Gehry tower in NYC, I'd have to say no thanks, the Beekman (or whatever it's called now) looks terrible!!
