Also wondering if they plan on recladding the two buildings next door as originally proposed. It would look really sharp if they reclad the two buildings in the same checker board pattern as Telus Sky’s bottom half, but in white panelling like Vancouver House. It can be a flush facade, but still have the same design as T.S.

Agreed, but I'd even go for some sleek curtain wall over the crap that exists there currently.

Hi All,
Recladding! Interesting Point. It Would Probably B a Very Expensive Proposition. Not sure if Its in the Budget. Yes It would Add to the Overall to the Project as a Whole.
When Those 2 Bldgs were Blt, It was Blt for Their Time Periods

Tnx,
Operaterm

Word was that a worker dropped a sledgehammer off one of the tower cranes yesterday, landed on the LRT station and then bounced down next to a CPS van on 7th avenue. The entire job site was shut down after that.

Jesus...

Good thing no one was injured.

Man, that is scary. glad to see nobody was hit by that. I imagine some riders on the LRT got a bit of a shock from the bang.

Ya u pretty much bang on there, where'd u hear that from though, u work there? Also just updating for people interested about this job site, its most likely not getting finished for a while now. Last time a panel dropped inside the fence, on site from the top, and no real work occurred for over a month with a bunch of safety reviews. This time its on public road. Who knows what the fate of this job is at this point.

I find the angle of Brookfield Place and Telus sky very interesting. It looks like two buildings of different angles photoshopped together. An optical illusion of Brookfield Place gives the feeling the building is tilted one way, and the curve of Telus Sky gives the illusion it's tilted the opposite way.
