Man, it's really sad to see one of the only areas in the park with trees and shade turned into an empty flat lot
I know it's only temporary, but still...

My hope is that once the Saddledome is torn down, the banks of the Elbow River in that location will become an enlarged park space for the grounds.

I could see the saddledome location being a good spot for an amphitheater. Especially id the amphitheater sets faced towards downtown, it would make a nice backdrop.
