It's sort of like a crane base, but it'll support just a steel lattice structure that's just meant to hold up the roof until it can support its own weight

Roof will be fully underway by Christmas, with near completion by April. Exterior is expected to be mostly complete by October 2026.

Can you point to any forthcoming plan for a "experience centre"? I can see holding off on detailed renderings until you can give businesses and fans a feel of what they're getting with a VR based idea of what they're buying.

So far the media coverage by CSEC to hype up the new arena has been a huge letdown compared to what the Oilers did with Rogers Place. It really feels like the city has done more to try to hype up the project then CSEC so far.

Oilers were the developer for the whole Ice District, so there was a lot of noise. CSEC are just doing the arena, the city is doing the greater area, so it's different.

Media coverage of what? You cant hype something that's still a hole in the ground, impossible to keep that up for 2 years. The Rogers Place experience centre didn't open until 14 months or so before opening, so I would expect more renderings in spring/summer '26
