Calgary Regional Rail Transit

My opinion is that they see VIA and Go Trains hampered by freight and think, we can't do that here. They're probably right.
Agree 1000%. the recently scaled down the GO Train expansion because of cost, even though many trains travel like snails that busses are faster during non-rush hour. If they cut corners now, it'll be a generation until they're revisiting it and the cost now is going to look so cheap.
 
Ugh! I’m either going to be too old to travel anymore or, god forbid, dead by that time!
The train to Airdrie will be done before that.

Actual conversation with my mom this weekend about someone's great uncle: "So and so are moving from Vancouver Island to Airdrie, they have friends there that really sold them on it."

I just about fell over.
 
See if you can find out what the sales pitch entailed. I would be so curious. I am assuming that being a great uncle, they are past the point of needing an affordable home within a decent commute of an employment opportunity.
