Just looking at the historical maps, it appears there used to be a building there up until sometime between 1982 and 1984. It appears to have been built some time between the 1920s and '40s. The building across the street that was just demolished had also been there for a long time.

No rumours of what is going in the Tower 1 corner Commercial Retail Unit? I imagine many of the Park Central residents know a rumour or two...

It's full blown construction in there now.
