There is a reason they are the wealthiest states. They are the premium places to be in the US as well. Also one of the reasons Canadians wanna go to them as well.I assume this isn't by accident.
And it is possible they might but you have to tell them the option exists. I remember when I flew to Rome a few years ago there were Americans connecting through YYC on WestJet so some people do already do it.There is a reason they are the wealthiest states. Just need to get Americans to come up here to fill those planes
The drop seems stronger in the East, FLL, MIA, RSW all down 20% or more. While PHX, PSP down less than 10%. But yea their lack of wide bodies is now going to be a real problem. Some of these 737s are being redeployed on European routes (Westjet increased YYZ-DUB/EDI to 11 weekly and started YHZ-AMS/BCN), but they don't have the range to increase/add anything from Calgary using the 737 aside from KEF - which has already been moved to daily. I wonder if more Mexican/Caribbean destinations are to come for Winter 2025 if this trend continues.
They'll be thinking fuel stops if things get bad enough.Calgary using the 737 aside from KEF
Japan is wonderful in the winter. I highly recommend, even if you don't include a ski portion.Westjet has increased Tokyo/NRT to daily year-round. Was previously daily in the summer and 3x weekly in the winter.
This will compliment 2 new JAL codeshare destinations, Osaka and Nagoya.
