I think the white looks a little too white in renders sometimes, it'll probably look a little different in real life. I'll use Chinook as an example:Are the stations really going to have white canopies like the renderings? Looks a bit bland.
Fair, I figured since the green line stations are modelled after the chinook arch it might end up being more similar, perWell, the first image is a photo and not a render, and Chinook uses a silver/metallic color instead of white
Speaking of Chinook, the shape and color of the canopies is inspired by a chinook arch

I just wish they had canopies that would let light in, while covering the whole platform. The curved, solid roof reminds me of Soviet bus stops.
They have some nice stations. I've heard from people who have bee to Moscow or used to live there that the stations are starting to fall apart. Not sure if it's true or not. They do have a definite 'Caribbean Communist' look to them.. I suspect they'll age about as well.
Say what you will about the Soviets, at least they knew how to make a metro station!

One thing about communism, is you can push hard on infrastructure. Some of the nicest metro stations are in places like Russia, North Korea, and Uzbekistan (Tashkent)
Not exactly, but the federal amount doesn't float with project costs, so yes.IIRC the federal funding is essentially conditional on provincial approval, so at this point wouldn't that mean taking on 100% of the costs?
