Are the stations really going to have white canopies like the renderings? Looks a bit bland.
I think the white looks a little too white in renders sometimes, it'll probably look a little different in real life. I'll use Chinook as an example:

Well, the first image is a photo and not a render, and Chinook uses a silver/metallic color instead of white
Speaking of Chinook, the shape and color of the canopies is inspired by a chinook arch
Fair, I figured since the green line stations are modelled after the chinook arch it might end up being more similar, per

I just wish they had canopies that would let light in, while covering the whole platform. The curved, solid roof reminds me of Soviet bus stops.

They do have a definite 'Caribbean Communist' look to them.. I suspect they'll age about as well.
Say what you will about the Soviets, at least they knew how to make a metro station!

A few semi related stories, while it is nice to see the project finally taking shape, I still wish the city would go the last mile in fully separating the se row, and completely rethinking the north leg

Urban mass transit has been a solved problem for decades now, frustrating to see a city that may end up out populating the originator not getting that..

They have some nice stations. I've heard from people who have bee to Moscow or used to live there that the stations are starting to fall apart. Not sure if it's true or not.

One thing about communism, is you can push hard on infrastructure. Some of the nicest metro stations are in places like Russia, North Korea, and Uzbekistan (Tashkent)

The metro systems are probably the best thing to come from the Soviet era. But the disparity between the museum like stations and most of the other infrastructure from the era is striking.

Hopefully they do maintain them and they'll be easier to see in person someday soon. My trip there was closer to the fall of the SU than to current year, I'm sure much has changed..
