To go further off track, usually routes I look at have too many turns, but this one would be fun! MRU to a new 50th Ave station. Could likely do the trip in 20-25 minutes.
I think it would be way quicker than that. You could probably beat 20-25 minutes with a bus, if you build a bus/active mode-only bridge over the Elbow river at 50 Ave.Could likely do the trip in 20-25 minutes.
Gotta cut the city some slack. They only had since 2014 to procure the land and the Greenline was only on the books since the mid-80's.The answer is money saved during expropriation. Probably just should've spent the money then to save money later.
Cablebus in Mexico City is 35 minutes for 10.5 km.I think it would be way quicker than that. You could probably beat 20-25 minutes with a bus, if you build a bus/active mode-only bridge over the Elbow river at 50 Ave.
A lot of these diversions were also not planned from the beginningGotta cut the city some slack. They only had since 2014 to procure the land and the Greenline was only on the books since the mid-80's.
It begs the question....A lot of these diversions were also not planned from the beginning

Highfield curve probably to do with the landfill as darwink pointed out, Quarry Park I assume was moved over to 24th so it's actually closer to places people want to go instead of in the middle of a landfill
Different parcels:It is interesting because landfill remediation was done for both Highfield and Quarry Park. I'd say QP was poor planning because the RoW could have been put along 24th street instead of down the middle of that block
Yeah, I meant it's interesting because there was obviously no issue with remediation in general but that there's some specific reason they wouldn't/couldn't fix that oneDifferent parcels:
