Seafoam wouldn't be my favourite shade of green. There's too much grey spandrel in the world. The podium's grey composite panels are the most disappointing part of the tower. Some black brick would be richer and more solid. The same brick covering the blue skin up the sides of the tower would compliment the seafoam more than these light grey composite panels too.

The crane for this one is down and the second floor lit today, the glass is very clear whereas condo glass is usually a little shaded I thought.

Saw this from Bow Trail on the bus this morning, the black overhang/accent isn't the greatest. Would appreciate a lighter colour. The black is a bit heavy. If you're going to go dark on some parts of the buildings then go dark if you're going to go light, then go light. I do not like the contrast between the light and dark accents on this project. Probably a personal thing but that's just my preferred aesthetic.

Looks like we're getting a grocery store in this building after all. Sobeys also owns Safeway, so they'll have 3 stores covering all of Hillhurst/Kensington.

For a size comparison, the No Frills in WVT occupies 13,103 sq ft, the retail space for this is likely 11,590 sq ft.

Seems to be a new grocery strategy of smaller stores but more of them, similar to the No Frills taking up a fraction of the available space in WVT. Really positive development for urban living. Not to mention it's the discount chains which traditionally have been car access with a giant parking lot

So we went from small grocery stores in the 60s up to the mega sized Superstores in the 2000s and now we're back again? I'm guessing the success of Dollarama's popping up in every small neighbourhood has been an influence.

I don't know if it's really size that's making Dollarama popular, but the prices. Mostly the same (or worse) junk you get in may other stores, but shopping there is like going back to 90s.
