Frontier | 30m | 8s | Truman | S2

The info is under renttruman.com. On trumanhomes.com, it's not listed under their condos, and the only thing you can find is a construction update on "Frontier Condos." Everything else is at renttruman where they do call it a "premium condo building" but everything else on that site treats it as rental apartments. Perhaps they've pivoted towards rentals (only?).

The floor plans are "interesting." Several of the 2br plans are "sky town" bi-levels, which may be nice but curious because stairs take space. Most/many of the floor plans are of course one level.

Also, a lot of them have at least one bedroom with no exterior windows! I mean 1-br units where br is interior and only living area has exterior windows, 2-br with one interior br, and even 3-br with up to two interior brs. I hope for the best here, but doesn't this detract from rental value?
I went to a showing for a unit. I thought the quality would be higher for a concrete build. The bedrooms are using the glass wall, so the interior bedrooms have sliding glass doors as walls. Very common for new 1 beds in Toronto and Vancouver, helps reduce the width of the units by utilizing more depth. But regarding rentals, the whole building is individually owned condos. The apartments they're renting out are part of a rent guarantee, so an owner owns it, but during purchase, Truman promised x years of rental guarantee at a set price.

Metro Liquor also just put up their signs the other day on this building.
The liquor store was a point of contention for the community, as there's already one on 19th, and technically violates city rules, especially in proximity to a school. But I think the ones in the area are mostly wine and less full service. And I think it was a part of the pitch to get a grocery store into the building.

Both other liquor stores in the neighbourhood are pretty full service (one more than the other). This new one does feel unnecessary and is less than a 5 minute walk from the other 2.

The Co-Op one? It's close in distance but separated by Crowchild. Not a big user of liquor stores myself but I'd think having grocery connected would help.

The Co-op one is a bit further, but there is a liquor store in the 19+2 building 2 blocks away and a smaller corner store liquor store 2 blocks west by Amato Gelato.

Yea the 19+2 was the wine one I was thinking of. And I didn't know there was one in the Amato Gelato area
