Kerins on waivers. Hope he doesn't get claimed. For a roster in desperate need of skill, certainly a choice.

Figured he would make the opening night roster, hope he clears. I'm thinking Grindin and Parekh will make the team, both need to be sent down to the CHL if they aren't going to be on the team full time, and I feel like both are clearly above that level now.

Kerins was at best the teams 4C, as long as Kadri is here. If Kirkland or Pospisil end up not being right for the 4C slot then Kerins will get the call.

Gridin looks to be on the team, he can go to the AHL, he was drafted out of the USHL. Parekh is better than a lot of guys who do similar things Miro, Grush, Bean.

See how the team looks on Friday, they'll need to be better.

The Shawinigan Cataractes have Grindin's rights, so I'm pretty sure he is AHL ineligible. I could be wrong though...

Posposil left the game last night, and Huberdeau too, hope neither is actually hurt. Lots of injuries so far this preseason it seems...

It has to do with the league the player is drafted out of. Even though he played in the Q, he will not make his way back there. Although there was once a player that played NHL, AHL, ECHL, Canadian Hockey League (cannot remember which league).

Meaning, their window is closer to two years because with one year left the opportunity to resign opens up again. In that final year the Oilers have the option to play out the season with him or trade him and do what Penguins didn't do and restart their rebuild with a mountain of assets.

Imagine taking a 7+ million discount to give your team a chance to see them blow it on a couple third pair dmen and still have a terrible goalie.
