Enzo | 27m | 6s | Arlington Street | DAAS

Great additions, all Canadian companies, except for Chipotle
Even though they’re American there will be some local benefit if they’re franchised, and they would be providing jobs and paying taxes. Certainly better than straight up imported goods.
I’ll be using that logic when I stop by to check it it.

Ok challenge to the Skyrise Calgary community.

What buildings in Calgary have the largest signs?

Is it just me, or does the Enzo sign seem uniquely large?
Mission Landing is a contender.

Luckily it looks like you were joking. Couple signs up already and they’re working on two other retail bays.

Nearby it looks like the bmo redevelopment may be starting as it’s now leased. Looks like they’re retaining more of the original bmo building design with some facade/window changes and extending the building over the adjacent parking lot. I like this sleek design better than these older renders here:

This would be so much better if they added extra entrances and demised this into more and smaller spaces

Wow this one has me excited!!

Arlington has been doing a good job getting commercial tenants into the spaces on 17th. But now sure about long-term success, at The Fifth, Bros togo, The Mash, and Cinaholic have all closed permanently recently.

I used to work right near there, and the Mash was always dead.

Bros To Go was pretty good. Kind of a limited menu and not something I wanted all the time, though.

Weird that a whole strip would die like that. Is it a consequence of being "around the corner" and not actually on 17th, or was the rent too high, or?
