Agreed! An all-brick warehouse style building would be perfect for this location. There's just too much going on here.I wish that they would just do something more minimal and warehouse-like, something resembling maxwell bates block. Just brick and glass would be perfect, especially for this location.

Tbf, I wouldn't describe that building as boring or simple. We probably cannot mimic this building without removing even the little amounts of ornamentation that exists, and turning it into a blank slate devoid of any beauty. These boring designs are good ones to nit-pick materials and ground floor treatment. This random building in Chicago is approximately the same size and shape, but looks better due to bricks and a more urban ground floor.
Size is fine, big blocky buildings can be attractive. Just needs to focus on the materials and ground floor.
