@Ubran Outdoorsman, I think you are right. I forgot about the one on the other side of 24th.I'm actually not sure if this is the project that will be going ahead right away. The development permit/land use haven't been approved for this parcel yet. https://developmentmap.calgary.ca/?find=LOC2021-0020
However the project on the north side of 24th looks slated to start anytime. https://developmentmap.calgary.ca/?find=DP2019-3846 https://faasarch.com/portfolio/uni-26/ (renders)
Either way glad to see some movement on 24th!
So glad to see things starting to happen on 24th. If only 20th ave could get these kinds of projects (Aside from Catalyst)24 Ave is beginning its transformation!
20th ave has a few land use applications for larger multifamily. 20th ave will see these kinds of developments in the future. So glad to see things starting to happen on 24th. If only 20th ave could get these kinds of projects (Aside from Catalyst)
Let's hope common sense prevails and it gets removed. A large number of houses along 24th ave are rentals, I presume the owners of the properties would be happy to see multi-family zoning.I think the south side of 24th is having to go through a legal case to get restrictive covenants removed, which prohibit the development of multi-family.
If the city is serious about increasing density, they'll try to make that happen.I think the south side of 24th is having to go through a legal case to get restrictive covenants removed, which prohibit the development of multi-family.
