The last we heard, a Superstore is going into this space, it was supposed to be a Loblaws City Market, but someone mentioned it's been changed to a Super Store. West Village Towers could hold one, but to be honest if they are opening one in downtown Calgary it's not likely it would be 42K sq ft. That much space would be too expensive for something fairly specialized like H-Mart. I could see a more compact H-mart going into something like Nuera or West Village Towers....maybe even Eau Claire Market.
 
I’ve never been in an H-Mart but from what I’m reading about it online it looks like it would definitely be an asset for the inner city whichever spot it takes. Definitely need someone to take a big chunk of ground floor retail in the east Beltline.
I've been to the one in Edmonton....it's not bad, kind of junior version of T&T, but yeah, it would great to have an Asian market retailer downtown.
