I'm not so sure about that. We're scraping the bottom the barrel now.In addition, you are going to have a flood of immigrants moving to Canada this year as much of the program has been halted due to Covid. With oil pushing $70 right now, I dont think these rental vacancies will be as hard to fill as we think.
In order to fill the record high quota of economic immigrants this year, the Canadian government radically lowered the points required to get in:
- Never-married, single
- 39 years old
- Level of schooling below a high school diploma
- IELTS score of zero in speaking, listening, reading, and writing
- 1 year of Canadian work experience in a technical occupation (e.g. cook or car mechanic)
- Zero years of foreign work experience
- Not currently employed
Not really the "economic immigrants" we think we're getting.
