It's that time of year, exciting. I think we'll be right at the 20k mark, similar migration to last with with higher natural increase. Do we know when results are released?

Put me down for 23,000. Another 32,656 and we'd break the 1.3M mark, but it won't be that high. Low 20's is where it'll probably be, which is very solid considering the economy.

When I saw that the first thing I thought was that it was one way trucks leaving Calgary lol. Glad to see that Calgary is still growing even with this extended downturn. Has anyone heard when they are releasing the numbers?

Airdrie city council receives census results tonight.

If they grow by anything more than 2K which is likely, they'll push past the 70K mark. Crazy to think that if Airdrie grows by the population they have for the last 10 years they'll be well over 100k in less than a decade.

Barely over 2000, 2473 for a total of 70,564. 700 fewer people than last year.

With the economy the way it is, 2476, is decent growth. A bit slower growth wouldn't hurt anyways. I sometimes think of Airdrie as a lanky teenager who's still growing into his frame. I'm confident that Airdrie will be over a 100K by 2030.

Anyone know when the results will be released? Usually it's out by now but the City website is saying Late summer, whatever thats suppose to mean. Other than just the population numbers, Im excited to see if the Beltline is still growing fast and what our dwelling vacancy rate looks like.

It's usually right at the end of July, so I can't imagine it being much longer. The Beltline will have grown by a decent amount since last year with the vacancy rate in the Beltline going down, plus new residents in Park Point, 6th and Tenth, and 1215.
1215 was taking in residents back in 2017, so might not figure into any growth, but PP and 6th and Tenth should. Aside from those two, some other towers were finished, but have still been adding people. Versus, and the Guardian towers were still adding people last census period. Whether the Beltline grows by a little or a lot, one thing for sure is it will keep growing for a few years.
The Royal, Sodo and Cube will add people to next year's census.
500 block, Curtis block, One tower, 11th&11th, and Yellowstone will add even more the next couple of years after that, and those first 4 projects have *a lot* of units.
