They did have their DP released and have their BP application in, so if they're not going ahead, they're leaving a lot of money (possibly millions of dollars) on the table.
I am still hopeful that the holdup is on the BP application - there seems to be a bit of a backlog with building permits these days.
The truck there is for daylighting, so maybe not related to any wiring I don't think? That said, having daylighting in that area could still be a good sign, as it's quite possible they are doing some daylighting around the site's perimeter in preparation for some utility work ahead of drilling?
There are some doubts about this project in this thread but the partial building permit is now released. Hopefully soon we will see a big hole in the ground for the 4 levels of underground parkade. Future 31 storeys of residential with the main floor mostly reserved for commercial retail units.
That's great news. Things have slowed down in the last 6 months, with only one tower start in the inner city. Good to see theres still some action pending.
