Parkline | 60m | 16s | Minto | Zeidler

I went there to upgrade some high school courses about 20 years ago and it was a gong show in the morning and afternoon. Probably didn't help all the students were adults from all over Calgary so most drove their own vehicle to/from. Probably worse than when it was just a regular school for the neighbourhood. I bet the residents were happy when it closed completely and got used to how quiet it was after the closure, now they want to keep it that way.
This neighbourhood definitely hasn’t become quieter since the high school closed. Redevelopment has been perpetually hot for at least 15-20 years in Killarney/Richmond/Knob Hill. Endless infills and townhouses going up since the mid 2000s.

Looks like this is called "Parkline" now: https://www.engageparkline.com/
The elevations in these, granted early renders, look like you would expect, if you were expecting to be disappointed by the design. They're simple so maybe they're just placeholders but I'm going to assume they're not.

I dont understand why people prefer an empty giant old building in front of their house....
I just listened to a group of under 40 detached home owners complain about infillls, multi family, and high rise construction and the ills of density.

It's like a virus that comes with owning a detached home.

The people who own a SFD are super fortunate to be able to do so and I applaud them for being able to do so. But I don’t have sympathy for those that begrudge developers who want to supply housing to those less fortunate. I, myself, own a condo. Not a fancy, expensive, downtown high rise one. I don’t make enough money to buy a SFD nor am I in a situation to be able to save up and upgrade to a SFD. So I am grateful for condo developers who are building condos and rental apartments outside of the core for a segment of the population like myself. I was super disappointed when the Glenmore Landing development was stopped and I hope the same doesn’t happen to this one..
