Never really thought much about it but they really go the way of their anchor tenant. North Hill mall (Sears died a slow death), Deerfoot (Woolworths) pivoted to Walmart, market mall (The Bay/Safeway/Zellers/Theater), North Land (I don't remember what it was before Walmart).

Somewhat related, CNRL will be renovating and moving to the Shell building in 2025/2026 and vacating their Bankers Hall space. I'd imagine that gets snapped up relatively quickly as BH is a prime location.
I spotted some equipment doing soil sampling at the old Metro Ford site yesterday. Don't know if that means anything is immanent or if they are looking to sell, but action none the less.
That's got to be the most no brainer fitness park in the city. They could easily build a matching one at the top of the stairs in Crescent Heights Park. The lunch time stairs crowd would be more than enough to justify it.
My suspicion is that they are concerned about the liability of squatters starting fires and are demolishing the buildings. This will probably sit for a while as a gravel lot.
