The mistake was allowing cars to turn left from the big box store parking lot on to 61st Ave. If 3rd Street was a T intersection and everyone from the big box store parking lot had to go 1a Street to turn left on to 61st Ave that would allow you to have a very long left turn lane on to Macleod southbound. As it stands traffic backs up because of people wanting to turn left but there not being enough room in the left turn lane.

An even easier fix would be allowing dual turns from 61st Ave on to Macleod SB.

These two entrances and exits should also be closed. Pretty consistently people either collide or have a near miss with the required weaving.

Not much change, but some of the items on site have been moved. Either a large company like CF doing this you have to believe it’s only a matter of time until a construction start now that the BP has been applied for.

Agreed. With it being Cadillac Fairview I’m confident this will start soon. Just need the paperwork to run its course.

Design is bland but inoffensive. If the buildings are amenity rich they should lease quick enough. Many units will have some nice views until other towers go up nearby.

I do wish the buildings were designed to be taller and slimmer, but I am excited to see what will be the tallest buildings in the Chinook area hopefully getting us a little closer to having a proper midtown.

This will help spur other developments I'm thinking. The area is ready to explode, it onloy needs a push.

Still think it's a missed opportunity for something better in such a prime site. It deserves a development like Station Square in Metrotown or at least something bland and tall with placemaking retail units like the City of Lougheed towers.

Yeah, I wish they could develop the parking lot of chinook and make it looks like metro town or Brentwood
