Weve come a long way when you consider it replaced the Corral.
Is it something with Calgary that we seem to demolish all the old arenas? Corral, gone, Saddledome, soon to be gone. Saddledome has the roof issue but Maple Leafs Gardens was redeveloped into a grocery store + recreation centre, and Pacific Colliseum in Vancouver is now home to the PWHL team.

I think Scotia Place has unique enough of a design to become an iconic part of the city skyline to people.

How many other cities have a flame LED around the exterior of their arena…

I love the saddledome and I’ve soaked in every moment I’ve been given in the building now that I work there, but it’s time has passed. Time to make the new arena as iconic as the old one.

I was scrolling through Facebook and saw this photo. I didn't take the picture, but I thought it was cool!

Also a big fan of exterior...but i'm going to disappoint you slightly when I say there's no LED flames, simply red/yellow uplighting. So daytime, pretty static....will look great at night though.

I've thought more about this, you're right that it is more unique than I was giving it credit for. The buildings crown could look quite cool if done well, at night and during the day. I also have to remind myself about the landscaping on the north and south side of the building too, that will be a real nice to have when contrasting it with other new arenas like Little Ceasars and Rogers Place.

If you want unique stadiums though, leave it to Birmingham City.

That's definitely unique, but I don't like it at all!
