Does anyone know if they're demolishing the building entirely, or stripping it down to the structure and doing a full reclad? I always assumed the latter being that it's the same height as the existing building.
Stripping it to the superstructure, adding a couple floors.

Is the portion of this building that faces Kensington Road also being redone as part of this redevelopment? Most of the tenants along there were being pushed out and so I assumed the entire block was being redone however recently there seems to have been new tenants popping up along that north side.

Maybe some cladding, but the North side tenants are staying put. A new cafe opened recently, Poesie Co (same owner as the Yann Haute bakery in the Mission), and a Leela spa is coming in the former BMO or Crave space. The tenants that left seem to be on the corners, BMO, Crave, PB&J, maybe they had to do some structural work or reconfigure those spaces, but the ones in the middle most stayed, like Fuwa Fuwa and Pet Planet.

Might be aging myself but I still remember that corner when it was a Red Robbins. Went there for my high school graduation.

Too bad it's destined to become a sterile lobby.
The corner is very much not a lobby.

"Retail continues to operate as usual except for the 8,000 square feet, over two levels, of restaurant space that wraps around the corner of 10th Street and Memorial Drive. Discussions are underway with a local operator to lease the space."

The images from Surreal of the renders, the SE corner is a cafe/restaurant and the building entrance is on the SW, which I think is the best corner anyways. Direct Memorial access to not add too much traffic to the 10 St/Memorial/Kensington intersections, and not a major retail corner.

correct....i was referring to the comment that indicated the current vacant restaurant would become a lobby, which as you rightly have said is the SW corner, thankfully
