Naming it SAM Centre was probably the biggest mistake. I bet a majority of people don't even know the Stampede has a museum. The name can also easily cause confusion with people thinking it's part of the adjacent performing arts campus.

I would bet money the SAM Center gets converted to more school space for the performing arts stuff that is currently on site within the next decade. I agree with everyone else, I don’t see the draw or appeal of the SAM Center. Not sure why they would have invested that amount of time, money, and resources. They are better off displaying artifacts around the BMO Center instead.

I 100% thought it was part of the performing arts campus.

Every cultural building should be named under this convention. The Derek Zoolander Center For Kids Who Can't Read Good And Who Wanna Learn To Do Other Stuff Good Too
