DP just submitted for the Crown Surplus site in Inglewood. Never heard of this developer before. Architect is KN Architecture. Will be a shame to lose the surplus store but there are some CRU's in this development so maybe it can find a place there. Also, I am loving this red brick design, shows that for those extremely long wood frame buildings, brick would look 100X better than the mix of random Hardie board and panels in various shades of beige and grey.

That will really compliment the National Hotel nicely!

Why the hell are there 34 surface parking stalls above an underground parkade within walking distance of the Inglewood-Ramsay Station? This is the kind of site layout we usually get in newly-built suburbs, but in the inner-city.

This gives me gastown vibes, I hope they do spring for the brick. In these areas, there should be mandates or some sort of protocol that developers need to use certain materials in order for the projects to blend into the neighbourhoods. I'm tired of seeing buildings like that rosso building pop up and become such an eyesore in such prominent areas.

BJL Calgary? That could be Brad J. Lamb. He built 6th and Tenth and proposed The Orchard in Vic Park. He swore off Calgary after Orchard fell through and has stuck to only building in Toronto... Until now, perhaps? This is good news because Lamb is a very high quality developer.

I would be utterly floored if that whole thing is brick. There's no way a developer would spring for that when they could get away with hardie board
According to the material boards, it's brick. Also, the back will be Hardie Panel, which I don't see as unreasonable considering the cost. But I found some more elevations dwgs...

I heard about this one a couple months ago ago it’s Brad Lamb. If the design stays brick this is awesome. And agreed on the excessive surface parking, it’s probably cheaper to pave above the Parkade than to waterproof it and add soil depth for landscaping and they prob want excess parking for the retail as the tenants will see it as desireable. I do wish the surface parking was reduced though
