Janky pic while driving.
This project is great. It's a modest, but meaningful, attempt at humanizing a car sewer in suburban Calgarian, Memorial/Parkdale Blvd being one of the few sewers with properties that actually front onto the street and are conducive for being repaired and created. Bonus points for being first in to attempt this.Really happy about this one. Even though Parkdale is inner-city now it still kind of reflects its original build as the 'edge of town' with just a tiny half block commercial area. Parkdale always seemed like a bit of a commercial dead zone between the shops on 19th St and the large commercial area in Montgomery, around a 5 km gap. Hopefully this kicks off more commercial.
I said this in the BTYYC thread.Every main street and most community nodes could easily support a few dozen of this style of building, almost anywhere in the city.
