Unrelated, but I didn’t know where else to post this.

Heartbreakingly, the beautiful Lacey Court building has been demolished! Whoever this Sidhu guy who bought the building should be locked up. A series of stupid ideas and mistakes lead to this unfortunate outcome. Is there any info on the new building that’s going up there?

They say they are going to try to preserve some of the style of the mid modern architecture in the new build… but I doubt it. Is there a current thread on skyrise for this?

The X crossing below center of the recess really throws it off. Still pretty good though.

Is that bracing even structural? The weirdest is the completely detached metal strip that runs straight up in front of the recess. Won’t it need to be anchored somehow?

It does seem deep compared to some other recent builds. Probably 4-5 stories of parking underground, they were offering a free parking spot promotion for probably 75% sales made in this building though so no surprise it needs a big parkade.
