I'm not sure what you mean - it's < 10 minutes walk from Erlton station, and thanks to the two pedestrian bridges nearby at 1 St SW and 21 Ave SW, walking distance to lots of apartments in Mission and Beltline.
The walk from Erlton isn't bad, either. It's river pathways and IIRC no intersections with cars. That's how I used to get there when the building was called

You're right, it isn't terrible and there are the bridges in actual Lindsay Park that connect it to Mission and the Beltline. I do wonder how many people do walk or bike there...

As a proportion of the total amount of attendees that walk or bike? I have no idea. Even if that data was available, those numbers would be hard to parse into a meaningful analysis as it's huge aquatics program has a city-wide draw as well as the only pool in the immediate inner city.
But anecdotally as a nearby resident for a decade that walk or bike? Tons of people. I never met anyone who liked to go to MNP, lived in the east Beltline/Mission area, and drove there regularly.

Work is underway on this, they closed the sidewalk on the southside of the property. Hopefully the Grand Theatre can get something in their CRUs. I'd love to see the far left lane of 6th Ave turn into a sidewalk or... a bike lane!

I didn't realize that KPMB was behind this project, but this would be the third KPMB project in our city along with Arts Commons and Contemporary Calgary. They have some better quality renderings on their site:

I hate the introduction of gray into everything. I would have loved to see them re-use or match the red stone. I'm sad that it's being washed away.

Looks like even the canopies that mimic the roofs are going to be flat

I really like this update! Think it will add a lot of vibrancy to street level and activate that stretch.
