A few other minor changes:
  • They removed the public art locations at the 3 main entries
  • Bifold windows added to the sports bar along the patio (main floor)
  • Overhead doors added beside the stage on the south plaza leading into the indoor plaza
  • New outdoor public art location added to the NW plaza which also has a minor redesign
  • A note was added that reads: "HERITAGE COMMEMORATION FEATURES RELATED TO THE OLYMPIC SADDLEDOME TO BE INSTALLED IN AN AREA VISIBLE FROM OR LOCATED WITHIN A PUBLICLY ACCESSIBLE AREA"

Damn... I didn't realize how much that tiny bit of curvature of the roof gave to it... now it's gone. Classic.
 
Disappointing about the flat cut to the top but debatable if it would be much different in real world perspective and the average person wouldn’t pick up on the difference.

Don’t see why the outdoor sports courts got cut. Couldn’t have been much of the budget in the grand scheme of things.

That second level window cutout on the west side in the “ice” area that they added in September doesn’t fit right with the shape of those blocks elsewhere.

Interesting change to the LED ribbon. It starts further south on the west due to the added windows there so it may still be the same square footage, just a new shape.

I’m not a student or a professional of architecture, but just a citizen with an interest in architecture. I’m disappointed in the changes to the roof profile and to the switch from the sports court to the grassed area. Perhaps with citizen input, those changes can be reversed?
 
I still find the entire exterior too messy and cluttered. So much going on. Disappointed in the sport courts being cut. Those are the types of things that attract people….not patches of grass. The roof I don’t care too much about. It was too subtle to begin with so I don’t think it will make a difference. Plus, it’s busy enough as it is, maybe a simple flat line roof will be better. Overall materials and execution will make it break this. Pedestrian realm is downgraded from A to A- because of the sport courts and removal of public art. Overall exterior design remains a B for me at the moment.
 
I see what they're trying to do on the outside, it seems busy when you look at it from an elevation but in my mind it breaks up what could be a big building. Roger Place is a big silver building, this one feels much more grounded. Material choice and the landscaping will make or break this for me. Not a curved versus flat roof...

This section intrigues me. I assume they'll use this to play a feed of the game for playoff games.

The overhead door seems to open up on to some kind of small square platform(?), like they'll sell you beer or twizzlers while you're watching the playoff game.

With the downgrade in materials on the undeveloped NE corner, to essentially "construction ready"...you get the vibe something is going to happen there in the short term.

Video ribbon is bigger, a bit more of a practical size for the west facing, too small previously, and then an architecturally pleasing, larger shape for the south plaza...a size appropriate for watch parties

EDIT: west facing ribbon is actually smaller, kinda sucks

From the elevations, all those blank angular planes at weird angles, all those materials, and all those colours are going to struggle in a decade to not look dated. What's throwing my eyes off is this mix of random angles / colours with horizontal windows at random intervals.

What's hard to imagine from the diagram is the scale - it's such a big building, maybe there's not really an issue with have such a jumble of materials, each section is so huge it doesn't really matter there are many styles.
