They're definitely working on landscaping now. They've closed off a much larger area of campus and are tearing up asphalt.

The design feels straight out of London. My only complaint is that I wish it was in a more prominent location, so it would be exposed to more people and perhaps push design expectations.

Agree. Imagine if this was located in the East Village or that prime river front lot right after the 10th street bridge into downtown.

Any concrete building with ~2 m to the lot line could be redeveloped with a facade like this. Really requires a down to the concrete renewal though. The older the better. Why? The extra internal air shaft to exhaust hot air took up one of the old elevator shafts. The capacity was made up with modern elevators.
The concrete is needed to provide the thermal mass to store cool from the night in the summer and store warm from the sun in winter.
