And double checking the development map, Brookfield already had a permit in for 22 rowhouse buildings. I wonder if this latest one is the larger multi-family one in the SE corner of the site?

Don;t think it was mentioned, but the CMLC was supposed to announce the design team for the Arts Commons expansion/renovation on Wednesday but it has been postponed. Supposedly someone of the team contracted Covid so they will wait until the New Year to announce the firm.
Sort of urban development related. An excellent video showing off some of Calgary's urbanity.

Wow that was a wonderful video!. That strafing pano that started at the 6:53 mark was spectacular and a view hardly shown.
Rendering out for a 113 unit proposal on Mission Road. I think this is the one mentioned by @MichaelS earlier

Ooops, forgot to mention the architect is Gravity, not sure who the developer is.

Looks good, curious what materials they intend to use. Lots of projects seem to be going with thin aluminum cladding these days, hope this one doesn't

It's on their website now. According to the text, Carlisle Group is involved. This would be a departure from their usual product.

If it's Carlisle, then it will probably end up with vinyl siding and be a cheap POS. Those guys don't build quality

Not sure where else to ask this but I was lurking on the below thread and noticed Ottawa that while obviously doesn't hold a candle to our skyline they do have quite a few high rises spread about the city. I was curious to see how anyone here felt about how Calgary stacked up against the country's capital in regards to suburban skylines and high rises?

No thanks. Ottawa has lots of suburban commie blocks. I'd take striip malls over those.
