A shame they decided to tear down an apartment building and then let the lot sit. They better build something.

Sensible developers wouldn't tear down a site without an intention to build. In this case who knows.

I asked around about this being under construction and nobody has anything about it. Sadly, it may well sit idle for a while.

And before the apartment building, they tore down Waves coffee, which was a building that had some sort of heritage value iirc. I remember ASI saying they wanted to re-rejuvenate 17th ave and turn into a major 'main street' Well, this is kinda the opposite.

AS have earmarked several properties along 17 Ave for development. The Fifth project dates back to the spring of 2018 when they opened the sales centre. After almost 2 years, they could not make a go of this one. What confidence does anyone have for the others?

I've heard their name mentioned a few times, and not in a positive way. They have liens against them on the Windsor project. Frankly, I'm surprised they even started on this one.

Hopefully this is the only site they own that they demo like this. It worries me that they own so much property on 17th. The loss of Waves and the brick building next to it for a gravel lot is so Calgary.
