Alright, I don't typically post a lot of photos (there are others who do a much better job than I would), but I had the opportunity to go up to the sky gardens in The Bow on the 54th floor this evening. Please excuse the 3 year old smartphone camera, through a water spotted window, into the sun:

This photo perfectly portrays the density issue with Calgary downtown. Literally so much huge parking lots all over northern downtown and instead of building there, we keep tearing down buildings in other places instead. Nice pictures by the way, they look great. How did you even manage to take them like that.

I totally agree, so much barren asphalt. Just happened to be the flight path I took on my way to Fort McMurray via Edmonton. I'll look at which directions flights are taking off before my flight and try and get a window seat that allows me the best views of the city.
