In our last check up on Park Central, the tower was portion was nearing it's final height, exterior cladding was mostly complete, and the building was taking its final shape. In our most recent follow up on Park Central we can report another milestone has been reached as the tower has now topped out and exterior cladding is complete for the most part. Final sections of metal composite panels on the crown are all that's left for the exterior work.

The developer behind the 35 storey purpose built rental tower is Toronto based Hines, a privately owned global real estate investment firm, with over 500 properties under its management. The project has been under construction for almost exactly two years, in fact it was almost two years ago to the day that we first reported construction equipment arriving on site.

Now the project is in the home stretch and is advertising for occupancy in spring of 2020. Recent photos showing interior work has also progressed well, and it won't be long before tenants will be occupying the building. New tenants will be able to enjoy the summer vibe of Central Memorial Park, and nearby amenities such as 17th ave entertainment area.

Designed by Solomon Cordwell Buenz,  the 463 unit development will feature a rooftop terraces and social area with view of the park to the southeast and views of the downtown Calgary skyline to the north.

Though Park Central has topped out, there is still more to follow and SkyriseCalgary will be sure to return to this project as progress continues.
