A month ago we reported on new renderings for shown for existing project, Place 10, which had gone through some recent changes, converting from a pair of office towers to a pair of residential towers. New proposals for the Beltline just keep coming, as today we can report that Calgary based Cidex Group is proposing a new high-rise project in the downtown neighborhood.

Currently dubbed, 'Hat @ 14th Street', the proposal calls for a 28 storey purpose built rental tower to be constructed at the southeast corner of 10th ave and 14th street SW.

Designed by NORR Architects, the tower would host 239 units as well as nearly 6,000 square feet of retail space at the ground floor. Plans also call for 2nd floor podium rooftop social amenities area.

The proposed location is on the edge of the Beltline, bordering the Sunlata neighborhood, and is along the busy 14th street corridor. It's within close walking distance to the Sunalta LRT station to the west, and CO-OP Midtown grocery store to the west. It's within reasonable walking distance to Calgary's 17th Avenue entertainment area, and several retail options along 10th, 11th and 12th ave.

With plenty more still to come, SkyriseCalgary will be sure to return to this project as progress continues.
