Six weeks ago we reported on the progress of the first building in Trico Homes' Kingsland Junction. At the time, the first building had just finished topping out and construction was starting on the second building.
Since that time, the second of the three buildings in the first phase has made considerable progress as they are now working on the 5th floor, with only one more to go before topping off. Excavation has already started on the third building as well.
Despite the recent winter weather, the second building has rising rather quickly, and is easily noticeable from Macleod Trail. Aside from the visible progress of buildings two and three, exterior material is now close to being installed on the first building. Overall, the project is moving along at a good pace. The first phase will contain 271 purpose built rental suites among the 3 buildings, and residents will be located close to amenities with the nearby Heritage LRT Station, and retail outlets both within walking distance. Overall both phases will introduce 519 new rental units to the area.
SkyriseCalgary will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
