It's been a little over a month since we last checked up on the West Village Towers development, focusing then on the Patent Pattern Rise of the west tower. Recently the developer, Cidex Group of Companies has confirmed that construction will start soon on the project's second tower, the 33 storey structure that will rise from the podium's southeast corner.

Recent photos show construction crews prepping that section in anticipation of the construction start, expected to take place in the next week or so. Crews awaiting the finalization of permits, will begin immediately after the permits are released. Designed by NORR Dubai (Yahya Jan) the overall project consists of three towers and 554 residential units with the third tower to be built at a later date.

The purpose built rental project valued at approximately $350 Million, will add between 700 and 800 new residents as as well extra retail to the west end of downtown. Located a block south from the Kirby LRT station, 3 blocks north of the Midtown COOP, and close to the river pathways, the location is ideal.
