One month since our last update, and progress at PLATFORM by CMLC, Kasian, and 5468796 Architecture has been moving along at breakneck speed. The second of a total six storeys has now risen above grade, the oval shape of the multi-purpose parking garage/shopping centre/innovation centre now clearly distinct.

Situated at the corner of 3 St SE and 9 Ave SE near the heart of East Village, PLATFORM will provide an array of much needed services and uses within the neigbourhood. Space for hundreds of cars, spread across five levels, will sit comfortably atop a two-floor retail space, the latter to include a 50,000 sq. ft. innovation centre.

Once complete, the $80 million PLATFORM will be a fine addition to East Village, the development to form something of a community centre - albeit, admittedly - one built largely around the common denominator of needing a place to park.
