Two months since our last update, and progress at the Courtyard 33 build site in Marda Loop has moved ahead significantly. Crews have begun to dig deep as the excavation process gets underway, it to not be long now before the foundations are put into place.
Courtyard 33 by RNDSQR and 5468796 Architecture will eventually take the form of a 6-storey mid-rise residential block with room for upwards of 100 residents spread across 70 units. Located in Marda Loop, at the corner of 33 Ave SW and 22 St SW, the project will place buyers within close proximity to the bustling 33 Ave SW corridor, along with transit, and many other local services.
Courtyard 33's distinct, multi-volume facade will be broken up via the insertion of two suspended, pedestrian causeways, which will serve to tie the structure together around a common inner courtyard. The bulk of the structure will sit atop a single storey of ground-level retail, which will help animate the area with added pedestrian traffic.
Once complete, Courtyard 33 will make for a fine addition to the ever-changing Marda Loop.
