Almost exactly one month since our last update, and the three-storey Eisenberg commercial block in Kensington has now topped off. The unique, NORR Architects-designed structure now stands at its full height, its signature off-kilter floor plates now a highly discernible feature as viewed from any angle.

Located along 10 St NW, in the heart of the bustling Kensington district, Eisenberg will capture a great deal of local foot traffic, its mix of retail and office space to serve the area well. As for the retail component, it is now known that an RBC branch will occupy the retail space, which will be augmented by a fair share of the second-floor office space.

And, while not perhaps the type of retail that one might hope for in an eclectic, walkable, downtown neighbourhood filled with independent cafes, restaurants, and boutiques, the bank will fulfill a basic need. Once complete, Eisenberg will be a welcome addition to the area, its striking visual aesthetic to establish a thoroughly modern tone within the neighbourhood.

SkyriseCalgary will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
