When we last gave an update on COCO by Sarina Homes back in July, the building had topped out and exterior cladding installation had just commenced. The first coat of stucco had appeared in a few areas, but the structure was mostly unfinished. Recent photos show the building is close to completing another milestone as most of the exterior is now complete.

Construction began a year ago, and has been steady, making good progress throughout the past year, topping out back in June. With its exterior materials in place, onlookers now have a good idea of how the building will look upon completion. The exterior is made up mostly of sand-finished white stucco, with black aluminum accents, and wood-style panel accents.

The 4-storey, 76-unit development is Sarina's second in the area, coming right after completion of Avenue 33, a similar project in both appearance and scale located four blocks west on 33rd Ave. It will not be Sarina's last project either, as Harrison, a 5-storey, 67-unit project is expected to commence construction a couple of blocks away as COCO wraps up.

Aside from its nice inner-city location, COCO will offer rooftop terraces, with some facing south to enjoy day long sunlight while north facing terraces receive beautiful city views. The stylish low-rise development is sure to be a nice fit in Calgary's burgeoning Marda Loop area.

SkyriseCalgary will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
