Three months since our last update, and progress at the 37-storey One Tower has moved ahead by leaps and bounds. Strategic Group's 122 metre high-rise has now all but topped off, its signature dark cladding not far behind.

Standing tall at the corner of 1 St SE and 10 Ave SE, a few blocks south of the core, and somewhere between East Village and Beltline, One Tower joins a host of projects that have begun to fill this liminal urban space. Soon to become home to upwards of 500 residents spread across 370 units and 331,000 sq. ft. of residential space, One Tower will deliver a great deal of pedestrian vibrancy to the neighbourhood.

Easy to spot from nearly any vantage, the 37-storey One Tower has already made quite the impression upon the downtown skyline, its dark grey covering of spandrel and glass instantly recognizable. With only a handful of storeys to go, it will just be a matter of weeks before the majority of the exterior is complete.

Down at street level, the multi-storey podium base will fill out the bottom of the tower nicely, with a continuous strip of retail to help ease the project into its surroundings. Once complete, One Tower will be a fine addition to the core.

SkyriseCalgary will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
