Just a few weeks since our last update, and progress at the 37-storey One Tower has continued to move quickly. Having blown past its halfway point back in May, the structure is now at least 23 storeys high, with about 18 more to go before it reaches its final height of 122 metres.

The 370-unit, 331,000 sq. ft. residential highrise by Strategic Group will soon deliver upwards of 500 new residents to the corner of 1 St SE and 10 Ave SE. Situated thus just south of the core and in-between Beltline and East Village, One Tower will serve to bridge the density gap that currently exists in this area.

As the tower continues to rise, so does its signature black cladding and glazing, which has now risen nearly a dozen storeys above the podium. For its part, the multi-storey podium base will contain a grand main entrance and lobby with space left over (potentially) for retail.

Once complete, One Tower will be a fine addition to the core, the project to be a prime address as well for urban professionals looking to live in the heart of the city.

SkyriseCalgary will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
