Two months since we last checked in at AVLI on Atlantic, and cladding progress at the mid-rise residential block by Greenview Developments has been moving along steadily. Glass now reaches to the top floor of the structure, with more insulation now gracing the rest of the facade.

Located in the middle of Inglewood's commercial district along 9 Ave SE, AVLI on Atlantic, along with a host of similar developments, has done much to redefine the look and feel of the neighbourhood. The 7-storey AVLI on Atlantic will be home to roughly 100 residents spread across 64 units - with space left over for retail at grade. AVLI on Atlantic, viewed from 10 St SE, image by Forum contributor Surrealplaces

Creating a nice terminal view from 10 St SE to 9 Ave SE, AVLI on Atlantic fits well into its surroundings. Furthermore, owing its setbacks and saw-tooth facade as designed by Sturgess Architecture, the mid-rise structure does not impose too heavily upon the streetscape below.

Viewed (above) from afar, AVLI on Atlantic has already become something of a neighbourhood fixture, its presence to be a positive one for Inglewood for many years to come.

SkyriseCalgary will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
