Only a few weeks since our last update, and progress at the site of AVLI on Atlantic has been moving steadily along. More and more glazing and cladding work has been performed on-site, the effect on the structure being to help continue to fill it out and give passersby a better idea of the finished product.

Located along the north side of 9 Ave SE in Inglewood, AVLI on Atlantic represents a transformative development for the area. Comprised of 64 units spread across six seven storeys, the bottom two of which are reserved for retail, AVLI on Atlantic will help deliver a significant amount of daily pedestrian traffic to the area.

Stepped back from the street thanks in part to its distinctive saw-tooth design by Sturgess Architecture, much of the residential portion of the structure sits back from the sidewalk. Moreover, the saw-tooth arrangement will allow for a multitude of vistas from within.

Viewed from 10 St SE, AVLI on Atlantic forms a terminus for the street, the structure designed to bring a sense of balance to the local streetscape - a rare move in today's development business. Sizing up nicely, it is more than likely that AVLI on Atlantic will be a welcome addition to Inglewood upon its completion.

SkyriseCalgary will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
