Brio has reached another milestone since its recent topping off, the building's exterior cladding installation having officially begun. Taupe and blue colored composite panels, along with vision glass windows are now being installed as the exterior starts to round out its form.

Taking a closer look (below) the cladding process now underway can best be appreciated.

Brio, developed by RioCan REIT, is a 12-storey purpose built residential rental tower with retail at grade. It will bring another 163 units to the Brentwood TOD area that already includes the 4 University City towers, and a shopping mall. The site is also within short walking distance of the Brentwood LRT Station, and the University of Calgary.

The site has been under construction for just over a year, since December 2017, and is now well into its cycle. Brio will be topping out soon, with only one more floor to go, as exterior work continues. With exterior work being done on the lower floors, it will not be long until interior works begins.

SkyriseCalgary will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
