One of the windiest three block walks downtown I've had to the bus. I couldn't look up without being blinded by snow and wind blowing the snow in my eyes. Had to hold my hand up to my eyes and open my fingers to see.

We get snow in Calgary and we get wind but I haven't been out in conditions like that in a very long time.

Looks like we are back into the deep freeze by the middle of next week. Hope not too many plants and trees were awoken by this false spring...

Calgary's weather forecase you should see 3-5 days, 1 week is not accurate. plus we dont have -30 this year so far, that is not deep freeze for me lol

When they forecast a cold snap like this, they are rarely wrong. Anything below -20 is a deep freeze for me, too cold to cycle to work at that point.

Haha I dunno about that. A foot of snow followed by -21 daily high is pretty rough.

First 55% of February has an average high of 10.3° C, 50.5 F. Absolutely bonkers. Obviously that record will be largely nullified over the next week and a half, but should still hold as an average above seasonal for the month overall.
